Third Coast Flag Football offers a structured and competitive co-ed flag football league for the middle school youth of the Evanston area. In collaboration with the Evanston Township High School Football Program, TCFF offers a program where youth can continue to develop position specific football skills through competitive instruction in a safe environment. 

Illinois high school football programs have recognized the risks associated with impact and collision injuries from tackle football and have implemented new coaching and safety standards such as allowing only 2 hours of contact practice per week, significantly improving the safety of the game. However, primary and middle school football programs have been slow to adopt these new standards. Flag football is a great alternative for youth to develop football skills while providing them the same opportunities to experience the athletic, social, and interpersonal achievements so valued by those that have played the game.
